The latest cohort of recruit firefighters is set to graduate from Puget Sound Fire’s Recruit Academy 21. According to the Puget Sound Fire's Post, the recruits recently completed the penultimate week of training, which included Unit 6 testing and lectures on personal safety and wellness.
The final week, Week 22, includes their EMT practical final test on Monday and a session on survival, shift work expectations, and the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee program on Tuesday. Training also emphasizes peer support and family involvement.
Graduation will take place Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. and will be live-streamed on the South King County Fire Training Consortium’s Facebook page.
