
A quiet stretch of Liverpool Spur in Brazoria County turned into an active crime scene yesterday after deputies responded to a 911 disturbance call and found a 27-year-old man with multiple suspected gunshot wounds. Emergency crews tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man at the home was detained on site and later taken into custody.
According to Click2Houston, deputies were called to the 200 block of Liverpool Spur, where they found the victim lying on the ground with multiple suspected gunshot wounds and showing no signs of life. Sheriff’s investigators and forensic personnel opened an active death investigation at the home, and the man initially detained at the scene was later placed into custody. He is expected to face murder charges.
The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Javier Martinez. His body was transported to the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
