Rancho Cordova's Public Works Department completed several projects in 2025 aimed at improving the city's infrastructure and community areas, including a $55 million upgrade to the Anatolia neighborhood roadways. These efforts have made the city safer and more accessible for residents traveling by car, bike, or on foot, according to the City of Rancho Cordova.

The Chase Drive and American River Parkway Connection, funded by a Sacramento Area Council of Governments Maintenance and Modernization Grant, added a multiuse path to link residents with nearby natural areas. The project also included new lighting, ADA-compliant curb ramps, and landscaping to enhance safety and accessibility, as reported by the City of Rancho Cordova.

The City of Rancho Cordova completed several public works projects, including 44 solar-powered streetlights on W La Loma Drive, traffic calming features like bulb-outs and speed lumps, and the Baroque Traffic Calming project in Stone Creek with roundabouts and bike lanes. Grant Line Road was improved with wider shoulders and a high-friction surface funded by Caltrans’ Highway Safety Improvement Program. School crossings were made safer at four locations through the Safe Schools/HSIP Cycle 11 Project. Upcoming projects for 2026 include the Zinfandel Drive Bicycle and Pedestrian Overcrossing and the Sunrise Boulevard Surface Treatment Project.
