Reno will host two family-friendly speedway events at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center, with the All-Ages Speedway on January 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sparkle Speedway Saturday on February 28. The January event requires a $20 registration fee and features age-based brackets, while the February event is free for participants aged 5 to 17 and includes extra activities like a fashion show and crown decorating, according to the City of Reno.
Both events encourage themed attire inspired by Mario Kart but it is optional, and each event will crown a champion with a prize after the final race. Participation is limited, so pre-registration before 9 a.m. on the event days is required to secure a spot, as reported by the City of Reno.
The City of Reno announced an all-ages tournament where competitors will check in, receive a start time, and compete in elimination-style brackets until the top four face off in the final battle. The event includes a lunch break, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration and event details are available through the City’s provided links for both the All-Ages tournament and the Sparkle Speedway Saturday event.
