
The Renton Police Department in Washington is launching a free Senior Public Safety Miniseries for residents aged 55 and older, offering practical safety tips and insights into police and fire operations. The program also aims to foster community connections among participants, as reported by the Renton Police Department.
The series takes place on select Wednesdays from 1:00–2:30 p.m., starting March 11 and continuing through May 6. Attendees can join all five sessions for a full experience or select the ones that interest them most, as stated by the Renton Police Department.
According to the Renton Police Department on their Facebook page, they are hosting a program for seniors to meet local officers and firefighters. Sessions will be held at various locations, and space is limited. Interested participants must register in advance on the city's website by searching "miniseries." The department encourages residents to "Bring a friend and join the conversation - we’d love to see you there!"
