Cricket enthusiasts and youth teams in Williamson County can gear up for the spring season as the reservations for the youth cricket field at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park are now open. From mid-February through November, young players under the age of 13 have the opportunity to finely to hone their cricket skills on designed fields that cater exclusively to their age group.
However, teams wishing to make recurring reservations need to act swiftly. As noted by the Williamson County Parks Department, the reservation request period started at 8 am on January 7, 2026, and runs until 5 pm on January 16, 2026. A strict policy allows only one submission per team or organization to ensure a fair and equitable distribution of playtime for all. The reservation request includes a maximum of two weekday reservations and one weekend reservation for the season spanning February 11 to July 26, 2026, according to details found on Williamson County's website.
Allocations aren't just handed out, however. A proof of a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) is due by the same deadline of January 16. Failure to provide this document will lead to denied reservation requests, and those times will reopen to the general public. Teams are notified by January 30 if they have been successful in their reservation bid and have five business days to make full payment or risk forfeiting their spots.
For those who might miss the recurring reservation window or prefer to schedule more spontaneously, the remaining dates will become available on a first-come, first-served basis from February 2, 2026, respecting a 30-day maximum advanced reservation window. These one-off bookings can be made through a phone call to the county parks department, as online reservations are notably not available for the youth cricket field.
Weather can always play spoilsport, so in case of rainouts, teams should call by 3 pm on the day to check field conditions. The rescheduling or request for a refund needs to be organized within a week of a rained-out reservation, as mentioned in the updated Reservation Cancellation/Refund Policy. With the fields closed for rest and maintenance in December and January each year, now is the crucial period for cricket teams to secure their place in the spring and summer lineup.
