Charlotte County residents and visitors are advised that Riverside Park is now partially closed as repair work begins on the boat ramp and dock. The popular park, frequently used by boaters and outdoor enthusiasts, has experienced wear and tear from heavy use, prompting the need for improvements. Those planning to launch from Riverside Park will need to seek alternative access points during the repair period, which is expected to last several months.
According to the county's official announcement, the closure begins today, and the repairs are expected to keep the park out of commission for several months. While the inconvenience may irk some, the county assures that this temporary closure is in the interest of safety, and the longevity of the park's facilities.
For more information on the restoration project or temporary alternative arrangements, the county has designated Robb Green as a point of contact. Questions or concerns regarding the project or alternative boating locations can be directed to him via email at [email protected].
