Sacramento's night owls in the hospitality industry have something new to look forward to – a free training boot camp designed to tighten up business and safety chops across the city's vibrant nightlife scene. As reported by the Sacramento City Express, the "Pubs, Clubs, and Bars" session, hosted by the City of Sacramento's Office of Nighttime Economy, is slated for Jan. 22 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Memorial Hall within Memorial Auditorium.
The training is not just a lecture series; it’s a networking opportunity, allowing local operators to rub shoulders with folks from the Office of Nighttime Economy, Entertainment Services Division, Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento Fire Department, and Code Compliance. This should make it easier to keep tabs on city resources, remain up-to-date on regulations, and perhaps build some communal spirit among competitors. "These trainings provide businesses with clear, practical guidance to help them operate safely and successfully," Tina Lee-Vogt, the City’s Nighttime Economy Manager, told Sacramento City Express. In addition to vital knowledge, attendees will score two hours of complimentary parking at the Memorial Garage and enjoy some light refreshments.
It’s a smart move, given the value these trainings offer, especially for operators focused on safety and compliance. The City will provide three-ring binders and tabs to help keep records organized and inspectors satisfied. The meeting will also review 2025 and set clear goals for the year ahead in Sacramento’s busy night venues.
Interested parties can RSVP by emailing [email protected] to get more details or reserve a spot. Entrepreneurs and nightlife staff can also learn about future training sessions on the City’s website, showing ongoing support for a safer, more organized nightlife. For businesses looking to stay compliant or improve operations, this training could be very helpful.
