While the fog is set to lift by mid-morning, it's expected to return again after 9pm, leaving the city under a partly cloudy sky and heading towards a low around 37 degrees.
On Monday morning, residents will meet the day with a touch of chill, as patchy frost is expected before 9am, followed by mostly sunny skies and a high creeping near 53 degrees. The light north northwest winds will offer little respite from the lingering cold. Continuing into Monday night, the fog will play peek-a-boo with us, hiding before 3am only to coyly re-emerge after 5am, and night-time temperatures will be hovering around a low of 39 degrees, again with little to no wind, as reported by the National Weather Service.
The pattern of patchy morning fog is projected to repeat itself until Thursday, according to a forecast from the National Weather Service, bringing partly to mostly sunny afternoons with highs steadily increasing to near 58 degrees. Tuesday and Wednesday nights will dance with the fog, which is expected to form and dissipate in the wee hours, as lows settle around 40 and 42 degrees, respectively.
For those planning later in the week, Thursday promises to repeat the pattern of earlier days, with morning fog clearing up for a mostly sunny day and a high pushing towards 58 degrees. The night will follow suit with the past, hosting patchy fog between 4am and 5am and a low settling around 42 degrees again. Looking ahead, Friday and Saturday round off the week on a brighter note, with mostly to partly sunny days and high temperatures approaching a more pleasant 59 degrees by day, and partly cloudy skies by night with consistent lows around 42 degrees.
