
Over the weekend, Sacramento saw a surge in illegal vehicle stunts, prompting the Sacramento Police Department to intervene as multiple cars were apprehended and impounded. The Sacramento Police Department labeled the events as "dangerous," warning that "innocent drivers, pedestrians, and children at risk" and that the stunts could cause "significant property damage."
In a firm message to the public, the Sacramento Police Department stated that "Sideshow activity will not be tolerated" and emphasized ongoing efforts to catch offenders. Drivers involved faced citations, arrests, and vehicle impoundments as authorities vowed to hold them accountable for their reckless actions.
According to the Sacramento Police Department on their Facebook page, residents are asked to help prevent dangerous street stunts. "If you witness sideshow activity within the City of Sacramento, contact the Sacramento Police Department. Your report could save lives," the Sacramento Police Department said. They also reminded drivers to "stay safe, drive responsibly, and respect our neighborhoods."
