Fog is once again the headliner in Sacramento's weather forecast as the National Weather Service reports an expected persistence of widespread dense fog, particularly in the early hours of the morning. The city is set to experience hazy conditions today, with visibility greatly reduced before noon due to the dense fog. The NWS indicates that, aside from the foggy start, the day will remain mostly cloudy with a high hovering around a cool 55 degrees and only a light breeze to rustle through the city streets.
As night falls over Sacramento, the thick fog will make its encore performance, enveloping the cityscape before clearing up somewhat by 5am. The rest of the night promises to remain cloudy, with temperatures dipping to a mild 45 degrees, as reported by the NWS.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, the NWS projects that the patchy fog will linger between 8am and 10am, after which the day should remain cloudy with calm winds. Temperatures are forecasted to notch up slightly, with a high near 56 degrees. The nighttime will mirror the previous evening with cloud cover and a similar low around 47 degrees.
The rest of the week appears to maintain this pattern, with the NWS predicting mostly cloudy days and temperatures reaching up to 60 degrees by Thursday. Nighttime fog will continue to be a common visitor, particularly after 4am on Thursday night. Friday will see some early fog before giving way to partly sunny skies, with a high around 57 degrees. The weekend forecast suggests a bit more sun, promising mostly sunny skies on Saturday, and a modest climb in temperature to a high near 59 degrees.
