Residents of Safety Harbor have the opportunity to sip coffee and chat with local law enforcement this week, as the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office rolls out another "Coffee with a Cop" event. In a move to foster community relations, the event will take place on Thursday from 9 to 11 AM at the Starbucks located at 100 Main Street.
The initiative, which has been gaining traction across various cities, provides an informal setting where community members can engage with the deputies who patrol their neighborhoods. According to the social media post from the sheriff's office, there's "no agenda, no speeches, just conversation" - a simple, straightforward invitation to discuss concerns, learn more about law enforcement procedures, or simply get to know the officers.
