The San Antonio Police Department arrested 32-year-old Carmen Brooke on Thursday in connection with alleged prostitution and unlicensed massage therapy at a North Side massage parlor, according to a preliminary report.
Officers began investigating tips about possible illegal activity at a North Side massage parlor on the 11000 block of Huebner Road. During the investigation, SAPD’s Human Exploitation Unit gathered enough evidence to arrest Carmen Brooke, according to KSAT.
The name of the massage parlor has not been released. KSAT reached out to SAPD for the information, but the department has declined to provide it.
KTSA reported that a tip led SAPD’s Human Exploitation Unit to gather enough evidence to charge Brooke with prostitution and operating an unlicensed massage parlor.
Local law enforcement is increasingly focused on massage businesses that may violate the law or engage in criminal activity.
