
In an update to a chilling incident that occurred in early November last year, Jaymes Martinez, 27, has been arrested following community cooperation through the Crime Stoppers process. According to a social media post from the San Diego County Sheriff's Office, Martinez is facing charges for two counts of displaying a weapon in a threatening manner and one count of vandalism. The arrest comes after a frightening event where two teenagers were terrorized by a knife-wielding man, now identified as Martinez, while fishing at a Valley Center pond.
The November 5 confrontation, as reported by the San Diego County Sheriff's Office, left the victims severely shaken. Their fishing pole was destroyed, and all four tires on their vehicle were slashed, with damages estimated at about $1,300. The attacker initially gave the victims a fake name, identifying himself as "Hector Zeroni," a detail which complicated early investigation efforts. The suspect description released by deputies described him as a white man between 25 and 35 years old,
