A tragic incident unfolded yesterday morning when a single vehicle crash resulted in the death of a 41-year-old Sanford man. WFTV reported that the Florida Highway Patrol is actively investigating the circumstances that led to the SUV veering off the road and colliding with a tree in Seminole County.
Per the details given by the FHP, the incident took place near Enclave Cove in Lake Mary. The 2009 Cadillac CTS was northbound on Markham Woods Road when the driver, reportedly traveling above the speed limit, attempted to negotiate a curve. Sadly, it is here where control was lost, and the fatal outcome manifested itself as the vehicle met with the unyielding trunk of a tree.
According to an article by WESH, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. While details remain scarce as the investigation continues, speed has been highlighted as a contributing factor.
