The Schertz Public Library Poetry Group is accepting submissions for its 2nd Annual National Poetry Month Poetry Publication, open to local poets. Submissions of original work are due by 6:00 p.m. on February 28, with selected poets notified in March, according to the City of Schertz.
Chosen poets will have their poems published and can participate in an open mic event at the library in April 2026. This offers a chance to share their work with the community and celebrate National Poetry Month, as reported by the City of Schertz.
Poets can submit their work to the City of Schertz’s poetry collection by filling out a submission form and pairing it with their poem. Entries can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at the Schertz Public Library’s circulation desk, where physical forms are also available. The form includes all submission guidelines and requirements. The City of Schertz invites poets to "help make our second annual collection another meaningful success." Submissions are open for just over a month.
