What’s moving into Town Center
According to the Sacramento Business Journal, OBO is set to take over the Town Center address formerly occupied by Selland’s Market-Cafe. The outlet reports that Tuesday’s announcement did not include a specific opening date for the new restaurant.
OBO’s menu and background
On its own site, OBO’ Italian Table & Bar lists an El Dorado Hills spot at Town Center as its second location. The brand describes itself as a hub for wood-oven pizzas, handmade pastas, grab-and-go selections, and catering services. The Town Center location is marked as “coming soon,” positioning the move as an expansion of a concept already anchored in East Sacramento.
Selland’s brand shake-up
The El Dorado Hills change is tied to a broader refresh of the Selland family’s portfolio. The group is evolving Selland’s Market-Cafe into a Sellands Cafe & Bar format, which will feature full-service bars and updated interiors, the Sacramento Business Journal reports. The parent company also lists Sellands and OBO under the same umbrella, signaling that the Town Center handoff is an internal reshuffle rather than an outside takeover (Selland Family Restaurants).
Town Center is in flux
The Town Center dining strip has been anything but static lately. Earlier this month, Pete's Goes Dark captured the sudden quiet at the Pete’s Restaurant & Brewhouse location. Other changes are in the pipeline as well, with new concepts and license transfers on the radar, including a planned Mikuni Japanese restaurant that points to an actively evolving tenant mix (WhatNow).
When to expect OBO
So far, neither OBO nor Selland Family Restaurants has committed to an opening date, and OBO’s site still tags the El Dorado Hills address as “coming soon.” For now, the announcement confirms that Town Center’s restaurant roster is in motion, with another option on the way for foothill diners once the build-out is complete.
