
Residents of Severn were on high alert after three suspects were involved in a violent robbery near New Disney Road and Carriage Drive last Saturday night. According to a press release from the Anne Arundel County Police, a 20-year-old fell victim to a mugging at approximately 6:10 p.m. when assailants, reportedly possessing weapons, assaulted the individual and made off with personal belongings.
The details remain scant – the suspects are at large, and police have not identified them. Officers conducted a search of the area immediately following the incident; however, their efforts yielded nothing tangible. The victim, whose identity remains withheld for safety and privacy reasons, experienced the brutality of unpredictability in an area typically unmarred by such flagrant public disruptions. Police have confirmed, "No weapons were displayed during this incident."
