Shake Shack is lining up a nearly $1 million, 3,000-square-foot outpost in Leander, the latest national chain muscling into the fast-growing 183A corridor. State filings and company notices put the schedule in a late-2026 to early-2027 window, making this one more Shack in the works for the Austin metro.
The project shows up in a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing that spells out the basic scope and timeline. The filing lists the work as a new restaurant with an estimated construction tab between roughly $980,000 and $1 million, a proposed Sept. 7, 2026, construction start, and a Feb. 8, 2027, completion date.
More Shacks Coming To The Austin Area
This Leander filing is part of a broader Central Texas buildout. MySA reports the company has also filed plans for an East Village location in north Austin and registered a separate project in Georgetown. A Shake Shack spokesperson told MySA the Leander restaurant is expected to be completed in 2027.
