The St. Johns County Public Library System will host a silent disco today to conclude its annual St. Johns Reads program. The event will take place at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre's Front Porch, with music delivered through Hush Hush wireless headphones, as per the St. Johns County website.
The disco will have two sessions: a family-friendly dance from 6 to 7:30 p.m., followed by an 18-and-over session from 8 to 9:30 p.m. The event is inspired by this year’s book, An Immense World by Ed Yong, which explores how animals perceive their environment.
The event is free, with food and beverages available for purchase from onsite vendors. Funding comes from the library system, Friends of the Library groups, and the St. Johns Cultural Council. The amphitheatre is located at 1340C A1A S., St. Augustine, Florida.
