At around 5:30 p.m. on January 18, authorities arrived at a distressing tableau—a man had sustained stab wounds to his upper body following what was reported as a sharp disagreement turned violent. The victim, bearing the marks of confrontation, nonetheless declined medical attention, his wounds non-life-threatening. This time, officers were dispatched to the intersection of 69th Street and Obispo Avenue, where the reverberation of shots resonated at approximately 8:25 p.m. On-site, they located proof of a shooting—bullet casings or perhaps shattered windows—yet against the odds, no person was found to bear the acute imposition of a bullet that night. The authorities are still seeking to uncover the suspect's identity and the underpinnings of this potentially lethal act, both of which are currently cloaked in the shadows of the unknown.
