The Stockton Police Department has asked the community for assistance in a local investigation. According to a social media post, a suspect entered a business on the 3200 block of W. Hammer Lane on December 8, 2025, and attempted to steal property, using threats when an employee confronted him.
The incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. The unidentified individual threatened a store employee before leaving with stolen merchandise. The post included a surveillance image of the suspect and requested any information that could help identify them.
To encourage tips and protect anonymity, the department has provided several ways for the public to report information. Tips can be submitted by calling Stockton Crime Stoppers at 946‑0600, through the organization’s website, or via the P3 Tips mobile app.
The police department notes that a cash reward may be offered for information that aids the investigation. The effort is intended to encourage community cooperation in helping identify and locate the suspect.
