
A routine traffic stop in the 3000 block of N Sam Houston Parkway W turned into a short pursuit after the driver, Abraham Velis-Luna, refused to pull over. Deputies from Harris County Constable Precinct 4 observed signs of intoxication and conducted Standardized Field Sobriety tests, confirming he was impaired, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Harris County Constable Precinct 4 posted, "Abraham Velis-Luna was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle." Velis-Luna now faces charges for both driving while intoxicated and evading arrest in a motor vehicle.
According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page, Velis-Luna’s bond was set at $10,100 by the 178th District Court and County Court 5.
