
Baltimore police have apprehended 22-year-old Kenyon Cypress in connection with an attempted murder dating back to a 2025 incident in the Central District. An announcement was made by the department outlining details of the arrest linked to the shooting of a 21-year-old male on West Mulberry Street last August. According to the Baltimore Police Department's official release, Cypress was detained by Warrant Apprehension detectives on Wednesday and is now facing charges of Attempted First-Degree Murder.
The original incident occurred in the early hours of August 21, 2025, when Central District officers were dispatched to a local hospital in response to a walk-in shooting victim. A 21-year-old male was found suffering from a gunshot wound, thankfully deemed non-life-threatening. Investigators determined that the shooting took place on the 400 block of West Mulberry Street, where they later identified a crime scene.
