A routine disturbance call escalated into a chase down West Lake Houston Parkway earlier this week, ending with a suspected drunk driver behind bars. Constable Mark Herman's deputies quickly responded to the incident in the 19700 block on Last Friday, January 2. The commotion began as a disturbance, but took a turn when the female suspect decided to flee the area, as per the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
The situation intensified as deputies located the suspect's vehicle shortly after the disturbance was reported. An attempt to pull over the car was met with resistance, as the driver, Lanaiya Agee, chose not to comply, prompting a brief pursuit by law enforcement. Eventually, deputies safely stopped the vehicle and confronted Agee, who exhibited signs of intoxication.
After administering a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, deputies determined that Agee was indeed under the influence. According to Harris County Constable Precinct 4, "Lanaiya Agee was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle. Her total bond was set at $5,100.00 out of the 339th District Court and County Court 1."
