
Tragedy struck a personal care home in Western Pennsylvania as a woman was fatally stabbed over the weekend. According to WPXI, the Pennsylvania State Police were called to Sugar Valley Lodge in Polk Boro, Venango County, after reports surfaced that a patient had been stabbed multiple times by another patient on Saturday morning, around 9 a.m. The victim, Marry Gruphofer, aged 60, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dyan Diven, 48, has been identified as the suspect and was immediately taken into custody following the incident. Police revealed that after consultation with the Venango County District Attorney's Office, Diven was charged with criminal homicide and was consequently denied bail.
She is currently being held at the Venango County Jail, as an investigation into the chilling events continues to unravel further. In a statement obtained by WTAE, officials emphasized that Diven was taken into custody in connection with the incident.
