If you like your rock loud and your oysters fried, go ahead and block out April 17 through 18, 2026. Switchfoot and Candlebox are set to headline the Fiesta Oyster Bake at St. Mary’s University, topping a two-day mash-up of live music, serious snacking and a century-old San Antonio oyster tradition. The early lineup also features Drowning Pool and local favorite David Farias. Organizers say pre-sale tickets open Feb. 2, with early-bird pricing and a limited batch of VIP packages on the table.
What organizers announced
In a social post Monday, organizers rolled out the first wave of the bill, pegging Switchfoot to the Friday, April 17 slot and Candlebox to Saturday, April 18. The same early roster names Drowning Pool and David Farias among the acts slated to hit the stage. That initial announcement was captured in local coverage by KSAT.
Tickets, prices and VIP
Pre-sale single-day passes are listed at $25 from Feb. 2 through March 31, with two-day pre-sale passes at $45. After that window closes, prices go up at the gate. A limited number of VIP Experience packages, capped per day, include food coupons, drink tickets and access to private amenities, according to event organizers. The full pricing breakdown and pre-sale schedule appear on the Oyster Bake site.
A little festival context
The Oyster Bake has been a Fiesta fixture for more than 100 years, run by the St. Mary’s University Alumni Association. Proceeds support scholarships and student programs, according to Fiesta San Antonio. In recent years the festival has leaned hard into nostalgic rock radio, with past headliners like Hoobastank and Sugar Ray pulling big crowds, as detailed by MySA. That blend of throwback names and homegrown talent is a big part of why Oyster Bake keeps landing among Fiesta’s busiest stops.
What to watch next
Organizers say a full, day-by-day schedule is coming soon. Until then, would-be attendees are being urged to watch the official lineup section, plan their parking strategy early and factor in shuttle options. Right now, the festival lineup page still reads “Coming Soon,” even as pre-sale tickets are already live. For the latest scheduling details, keep an eye on the Oyster Bake lineup page.
