Tacodeli is lining up a new outpost in Leander, with state paperwork pointing to a November 2026 finish for the buildout. The Austin-born chain’s move up the corridor adds another suburban pin to its growing Central Texas map.
State filing lists timeline, scope and price tag
According to What Now, a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation calls for interior work that includes a kitchen, dining room and restrooms, along with rooftop equipment. The estimated construction cost clocks in at about $600,000, with the filing setting construction to run from Sept. 1 to Nov. 24, 2026, if the schedule holds.
Leander registration and nearby projects
The Texas Comptroller's sales-tax database lists a "Tacodeli Leander" at 408 E San Gabriel Parkway and shows a sales-tax permit for the site beginning Sept. 1, 2025, indicating the company has already registered the location with state tax authorities. Separate Tech Ridge taco takeover coverage shows a buildout at 12705 Center Lake Drive, underscoring the chain's multi-site push across Austin suburbs.
Menu, format and local fit
Tacodeli bills itself as bringing "handcrafted tacos across Texas," and the chain’s rotating "special of the moment" recently featured a Horchata Rib Taco on its menu. Community Impact previously covered the Cedar Park opening, noting the company is testing suburban layouts and pickup-friendly service that could influence how the Leander restaurant is set up.
If the state timeline stays on track, the Leander Tacodeli would join a wave of new restaurants landing along the San Gabriel Parkway corridor late next year. We will be watching state project filings and the chain’s own channels for official word on an opening date.
