Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with highs around 70°F. Winds will remain light, shifting from north-northeast to west-northwest by Wednesday. There is a 40% chance of rain Wednesday afternoon, increasing to 70% Wednesday night with possible thunderstorms after 1 a.m.
Thursday will have a 40% chance of morning showers, with clearing skies and winds gusting up to 22 mph. Friday will be sunny with a high near 59°F. Thursday night will be chilly, with lows around 37°F.
The National Weather Service has issued a high rip current risk warning for Pinellas and coastal Hillsborough counties from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon. Rip currents can sweep swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Beachgoers are advised to swim near a lifeguard and, if caught in a rip current, stay calm, float, and avoid swimming against it.
