On Monday evening, Houston Police Department's homicide detectives were called to a scene at South Richey Street, where a grim discovery was made. According to an official report by the City of Houston, a 19-year-old male was found deceased, with signs of a gunshot wound, seated in the driver's side of a parked vehicle at approximately 7:40 p.m.
Detectives R. Bounds and C. Davidson from HPD's Homicide Division responded to the call. HPD patrol officers had arrived at the scene to find the young man, whose identity is still under wraps until family notification. The Houston Fire Department paramedics were at the location, and they quickly pronounced the individual dead.
The ongoing investigation suggests a violent encounter preceded the victim's death. Early evidence points to two unknown suspects, seen wearing all black, who reportedly shot at the vehicle and then fled the area.
