According to a press release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), Molina Garcia was taken into custody by the City of Mesquite Police Department on Tuesday. Following the arrest made in Mesquite, he faces charges of murder and is pending extradition to Charlotte where he will be processed for the charges related to this case.
The CMPD has stated that the investigation remains active and ongoing, indicating that more details may emerge as detectives press forward.
