A fatal shooting occurred last year in St. Louis’s West End neighborhood, claiming the lives of two brothers, Victor Blount, 35, and Jeramie Blount, 40. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported that the incident took place on January 14, 2025, in the 1000 block of Hamilton.
Officers responding to the scene before noon found Victor Blount inside an apartment with fatal gunshot wounds. His older brother, Jeramie Blount, was located in a nearby field, transported to a local hospital, and later died from his injuries. Preliminary investigation indicates that a dispute between the brothers may have escalated, with the older sibling allegedly shooting the younger. A woman in her 40s who was also in the apartment reportedly fired at the assailant.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, was taken into custody and is cooperating with authorities. Officials have stated that no additional suspects are being sought at this time.
