
Early Saturday morning, a single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a 35-year-old man at 4300 Gessner Road in Houston. According to a report by the Houston Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:00 a.m. The identity of the victim is being withheld until official verification can be obtained from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
A black BMW X3 was reportedly traveling south at high speed when the driver lost control and collided with a light pole. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the driver to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The HPD press release states, "The driver of a black BMW X3 was traveling southbound at the above address at a high rate of speed when the driver failed to maintain a single lane, left the roadway and struck a light pole." Sergeant P. Carlton and Officer T. Riley of the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division are investigating the case.
The investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances of the fatal crash. No other vehicles or individuals were reported to be involved.
