Earlier this week, deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office spotted a driver slumped over in a vehicle on the North Freeway service road. A brief chase followed, ending with two arrests, according to Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4's Post.
The incident began during an attempted check on the welfare of the individual when suddenly, the vehicle tore off, deputies in tow, resulting in a two-mile chase that concluded when law enforcement managed to put a stop to the escapade, as a statement from Precinct 4 detailed.
Upon halting the vehicle, responding officers found themselves faced with occupants who fell short of cooperation, necessitating the support of a K9 unit and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at the scene; one suspect was subsequently apprehended on a charge of Felony Evading while the other was taken for Failure to Identify as a fugitive and was found to have an outstanding Felony DWI warrant.
The precinct suggests following their social media accounts, such as Facebook and Instagram, or downloading the "C4 NOW" app for live updates on crime, arrests, and traffic in the area.
