Heads up, drivers: Lane closures are hitting U.S. 41 from Enterprise Drive to Harbor Boulevard early next month. According to an official statement from the Charlotte County Public Works Department, the closures are scheduled for replanting trees along the busy stretch. You'll need to plan to possibly adjust your route on Feb. 5, 6, 9, and 11 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
During these times, traffic will be subject to intermittent interruptions. The Public Works Department is urging motorists to stay vigilant and to always exercise caution when navigating through these construction zones. The project is set to briefly disrupt the flow of traffic, but the end goal of a greener roadside should prove to be a benefit to all.
For those seeking additional details or who may have concerns about the impact of the closures on their daily commute, Public Works has offered up a point of contact. The Public Works representative, Chad Ray, can be reached at 941-575-3643 for more information – don’t hesitate to give him a ring if you're looking for more specifics or if you've got any burning questions.
