A man was arrested for allegedly boosting rims and tires on Christmas evening. According to a social media post by the Benicia Police Department, the 39-year-old Vallejo resident was caught after a painstaking investigation. The stolen vehicle parts, valued at about $3,000, have been recovered and are awaiting return to their rightful owner.
The theft occurred in the Industrial Park area of Benicia, with the suspect leaving the vehicle stripped of its wheels, standing desolate on blocks. Yesterday, the suspect, identified by the Benicia Police as Joshua Daniel Gonzales, found himself in handcuffs, booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property. Given that the suspect was arrested with the stolen property, the Benicia Police were able to pin the theft on Gonzales.
