A Waukesha business owner and former county correctional officer is facing multiple counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child, according to newly filed court papers. Investigators say the case centers on a girl Houdek allegedly referred to as an “adoptive daughter,” and the charges have now landed in Waukesha County Circuit Court, as reported by WISN.
According to WISN, 32-year-old Codey Houdek has been charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13 after the child’s mother reported the alleged abuse to police on Dec. 26. The criminal complaint alleges the assaults took place during the summer of 2024 at Houdek’s Waukesha business, and notes the girl had turned 11 that July.
Business ties and neighborhood
Houdek is listed as the owner of Stumpies Securities Agency, a small security-style business operating in Waukesha. The company is profiled by the Better Business Bureau, which identifies Houdek as the principal contact for the firm.
What investigators allege
The criminal complaint, as reported by WISN, states the girl told her mother she had three sexual encounters with Houdek and that he bought her a PlayStation, an Xbox, a television and other items. Investigators also allege officers found an iPhone on Houdek with a lock-screen photo of Houdek, his wife and the victim, and another phone in his desk that showed the child as the lock-screen image.
Charges and legal consequences
Prosecutors have filed three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13 in Waukesha County Circuit Court. Reporting in The Freeman notes that each count carries a potential sentence of decades behind bars if Houdek is convicted. What evidence ultimately reaches a jury will be shaped by the criminal complaint and subsequent court filings.
Local context
The arrest comes amid heightened local scrutiny over child-sexual-assault cases in the Waukesha-Milwaukee area, which has left many parents and community members on edge. In December, Hoodline covered another Menomonee Falls case that similarly drew intense attention and legal scrutiny.
What’s next
Houdek is expected to appear in Waukesha County Circuit Court as prosecutors continue to review the criminal complaint. Initial reports did not list bond or an arraignment date. Local outlets report the investigation remains active and that officials have not released extensive public comment beyond what is contained in the complaint, per reporting by The Freeman.
