The Wauwatosa Police Department is hiring both certifiable and lateral officers. Benefits include a $2,500 hiring bonus for those with at least one year of experience. Lateral officers receive pay and vacation credit, and there is no residency requirement, according to the Wauwatosa Police Department's Facebook post.
Additional perks include paid parental leave upon hire and 30 college credits awarded at the start. Lateral officers also do not need to take a fitness test.
