According to a Wauwatosa Police Department's Facebook post, every two hours in Wisconsin, someone is injured or killed in an impaired driving crash, and “153 lives could have been saved if impaired drivers had chosen a safe ride home.”
The department urges anyone planning to drink to arrange a safe ride, whether via taxi, rideshare, or a sober friend, emphasizing that responsible choices can prevent tragedy. Officers also promoted the #DriveSoberOrGetPulledOver campaign to reinforce the message of safety throughout the holiday season.
