As the new year begins, the West Allis Police Department reminded residents to celebrate responsibly and avoid drunk driving. The West Allis Police Department's Facebook post encouraged partygoers to stay overnight, use a sober driver, take a taxi, or use public transit.
The department highlighted that the Milwaukee County Transit System is offering free rides through the Miller Lite Free Rides Program to help keep streets safe. Police also warned that officers will be actively patrolling to enforce DUI laws.
