
A tragic three-vehicle collision claimed the life of a 25-year-old Winter Park man and left a woman injured last night in Orange County. ClickOrlando reported that the incident, which involved a 1999 Honda CRV, a 2024 Toyota RAV-4, and a 2018 Toyota Corolla, occurred around 9:40 p.m. on Aloma Avenue, near Palmetto Avenue.
The Florida Highway Patrol stated that the Honda CRV was heading east on Aloma Avenue when it went through a red light to then collide with the Toyota RAV-4, which was executing a turn through the intersection. Following the initial impact, the RAV-4 was propelled into the Toyota Corolla, which was also attempting a turn at that time. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the Winter Park man, who was driving the Honda and was not reportedly wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead. WESH added that the crash happened just before 10 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol's investigation.
The driver of the Toyota RAV-4, a 24-year-old Orlando woman, sustained minor injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The 21-year-old Davenport man behind the wheel of the Corolla was uninjured in the aftermath and remained at the scene, as noted by officials. The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
