An 18-year-old man was shot and killed in Northeast D.C. early Wednesday. Police responded to reports of gunfire at a home in the 1300 block of Varnum Street, where they found Malik Moore suffering from gunshot wounds, according to an MPD statement.
Moore was transported to a local hospital by DC Fire and EMS, but died from his injuries. The community continues to mourn another young life lost to gun violence.
Authorities have announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Moore’s death. Tips can be submitted anonymously via the MPD Text Tip Line at 50411.
