Anonymous tip triggers statewide response
State police said the investigation began after an anonymous tip alleged "suspected medical neglect of residents," and that 15 people were ultimately transported to four local hospitals for evaluation, according to CBS Pittsburgh. Troopers said the Pike County Department of Public Safety Emergency Management, along with several fire and EMS agencies, coordinated the response to make sure residents were assessed "in a timely and thorough manner." Police added that, at this point, "there are no known unmet needs."
