Phoenix homicide suspect Keith Raheem Farrow is in custody in Warren, Massachusetts, after authorities tied him to a deadly December shooting in Ahwatukee. State police arrested Farrow on Tuesday following a search warrant at a Warren residence. The victim, David "DJ" Lee Martin, was found shot outside a Phoenix apartment complex on December 12, 2025.
Massachusetts State Police served a search warrant at the home where Farrow had been staying and, according to 12News, investigators recovered a handgun magazine and several cartridges from the bedroom linked to him. Court documents say Farrow was booked on firearm-related charges at the Warren police station.
Where the killing happened
The killing took place on Dec. 12, 2025, at the Allegro apartment complex near 44th Street and Chandler Boulevard. Phoenix police found Martin with a gunshot wound to the head and pronounced him dead at the scene, as reported by AZFamily.
How police connected him to the Phoenix case
Court records reviewed by 12News outline how detectives linked Farrow to the Phoenix homicide. A rifle recovered from inside the Phoenix apartment was traced to Farrow, according to investigators. Phone records show a number identified as his called Martin's cell three times in the 24 minutes before the shooting. GPS and vehicle data also placed a Ford Explorer connected to Farrow's ex-wife in the area at the time of the killing. Investigators say cellular tracking later located Farrow's phone in Massachusetts, and an anonymous tip on Jan. 30 identified him as the shooter.
What comes next
Farrow faces a second-degree murder charge in Arizona, and Phoenix homicide detectives are seeking his extradition. How quickly he is returned to Arizona will depend on the next legal steps in Massachusetts. During a post-Miranda interview, Farrow invoked his right to an attorney, according to the court records described by investigators. He remains in custody while booking and extradition paperwork move forward.
