The incident unfolded Sunday at the Home Depot on the 20100 block of the North Freeway, where investigators say the suspect stayed in the store after it closed, gathered up goods and slipped out through a fire door. Witnesses and deputies report he then took off in a blue Nissan Altima with Texas license plate VMD-1439. No arrests have been announced and the case remains under active investigation.
According to a press release shared with local media, deputies described the suspect as a tall, slim Black male with dreadlocks and say he used a fire exit to leave the store after hours.
