One of the country’s biggest apartment builders is gearing up for a fresh land grab across the Charlotte region, with four potential sites now in its crosshairs.
Phoenix-based Alliance Residential Co. is actively scouting four parcels around the metro as it looks to bulk up its local pipeline, a move that would stack even more rental projects onto Charlotte’s already busy development map. The expansion push, first reported by the Charlotte Business Journal, comes as the company taps Andrew Howe to steer its growth across the Carolinas. According to the report, Alliance opened a Charlotte office in 2016 and delivered its first local project in 2019.
Alliance’s growing Charlotte footprint
Alliance is not arriving as a newcomer. Its Broadstone banner is already planted in the city, with communities like Broadstone Craft and another West End property along Wilkinson Boulevard in operation.

In the neighborhoods around its newest properties, some renters are already getting a feel for what Alliance’s projects look like on the ground. The Broadstone West End listing on Apartments.com shows rents starting in the low $1,400s and climbing north of $3,000 for larger units, in line with the market-rate style the company is known for. Specific construction timelines and any formal filings tied to the four new target parcels have not been disclosed.
