
A tragic incident unfolded over the weekend on a Baltimore County road, claiming the life of 67-year-old Loretta Pretlow. According to CBS News Baltimore, Pretlow was hit by a car while attempting to cross Liberty Road near Forest Hill Road on Saturday around 6:20 p.m. The Baltimore County Police Department confirmed that the vehicle involved was a 2004 Acura RDX. Despite prompt transportation to a nearby hospital, Pretlow succumbed to her injuries and was declared deceased.
The accident is currently under the investigation of the Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team. A preliminary review suggests Pretlow was crossing the road when struck by the Acura, which was traveling westbound. The driver of the Acura, who did not sustain any injuries, cooperated with law enforcement at the scene. Accompanying the driver were four passengers, none of whom were harmed, officials said.
