The streets of Baltimore saw violence unfold earlier this week, when a 36-year-old man was shot during a robbery. According to the Baltimore Police Department's official news release, the incident took place in the Southern District, in the 4000 block of 5th Avenue. The victim, surviving the ordeal, manage to seek help at a nearby fire station on Maude Avenue.
In a quick response to the event, Baltimore patrol officers were dispatched and located the victim, suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. After being swiftly attended to by medics, the individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment. As the investigation proceeded, Baltimore authorities were able to make an arrest associated with the case.
Preston Freeman, 31, was taken into custody without any complications in the 3900 block of 5th Street yesterday. Now facing charges for attempted murder, has been placed in the Central Booking Intake Facility.
