Bastrop’s grab-and-go drink game is getting a serious glow-up as local spots trade syrupy mixes for cold-pressed juice, hydrogen water, and plant-forward smoothies. The result: two homegrown businesses quietly becoming go-to stops for anyone who wants something healthy without having to fire up their own blender.

Radiant Retools as a Wellness Cafe

Radiant Juice + Smoothie Bar is shifting under new ownership into a full-on wellness café, folding its juice program into a broader lineup of small-batch tonics, herbs, and prepared foods. As outlined on the Radiant Wellness Cafe site, the focus is firmly on organic, plant-powered options, with plans to layer in health consultations alongside the drinks. The website also lists the storefront address and contact information as the owners prepare to roll out a more expansive menu.

Sunny Hill Bets Big on Cold-Pressed Blends

Across town, Sunny Hill Juice and Provisions has settled into a Loop 150 storefront and is leaning into its “rooted in wellness” identity. The shop features cold-pressed blends, house almond mylk, hydrogen water, and drip coffee, with recipes ranging from celery juice and beet-forward blends to a Strawberry Matcha. Its website lists hours as Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and promotes locally sourced provisions for customers who want to grab something healthy and keep moving.

Owners and Community Reaction

Both owners told Community Impact that the pivot toward wellness is coming straight from neighborhood demand and their own ingredient-first philosophies. Radiant owner Char Rebell said, "My whole goal is to not sell anything that I wouldn’t feed my children," while Dominique Barnett described Sunny Hill as a "what if" dream that became a storefront.

The Community Impact report also notes Radiant’s hours at roughly 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays and confirms that Sunny Hill opened Sept. 2 along Loop 150.

Menus and hours at both spots are still evolving as the owners experiment with new offerings and memberships. Even so, these juice bars are already hinting at a broader shift in Bastrop’s food-and-drink landscape toward higher-quality, health-focused choices.
