
Police are investigating two violent robberies on West 158th Street in Washington Heights, which left one man unconscious and another victim missing thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry. Authorities say the incidents appear to be part of a linked pattern in the 33rd Precinct and are asking the public for assistance. Surveillance images and video of the suspects have been released as detectives continue the investigation.
Surveillance Video Shows Suspects Before and After Attacks
Police released footage of two individuals believed to be connected to separate robberies on West 158th Street. In the first incident, on Sunday, Jan. 25, a 26-year-old man was struck with a bat outside 604 West 158th Street and knocked unconscious. While he was down, suspects reportedly took about $2,000 in cash and a cellphone valued at roughly $250 before fleeing eastbound in a black sedan.
In the second attack, on a Sunday, police say a 43-year-old man was punched, kicked and threatened with a firearm in front of 605 West 158th Street. According to NYPD Crime Stoppers, the suspects took around $3,000 in cash and about $2,600 worth of jewelry before fleeing on foot.

The NYPD says investigators are reviewing all available footage and that all calls will be kept confidential.
Neighbors Urged To Check Cameras, Stay Safe
Residents who were in the area around the time of the robberies are encouraged to check phones, security systems and doorbell cameras for any video that might have caught the suspects or their getaway car, and to preserve that footage for investigators.
Police are advising the public not to approach or confront anyone suspected of involvement. Residents are encouraged to call 911 in an emergency and allow detectives to handle the investigation.
